A supercar rental is about more than the drive — it’s about arriving. San Diego has no shortage of backdrops that make an exotic car look exactly as good as it should. Here are five of our favorites.
1. The Headquarters at Seaport District
Valet parking, waterfront views, and a steady flow of foot traffic make this one of the most photographed spots in the city for a reason. Arrive in the early evening for the best light off the bay.
2. Gaslamp Quarter
Downtown’s historic entertainment district comes alive at night, with restaurants, rooftop bars, and valet stands lining Fifth Avenue. A supercar parked outside one of the Gaslamp’s rooftop lounges is a San Diego rite of passage.
3. Sunset Cliffs
For a quieter, more scenic moment, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park offers dramatic ocean bluffs and, as the name suggests, some of the best sunsets in the city. It’s a favorite for photos with a convertible top down.
4. La Jolla Cove
Already one of the most beautiful coastal drives in Southern California, La Jolla Cove doubles as a striking place to park and take in the view — sea lions included, if you’re lucky.
5. Coronado, via the Bridge
The drive across the Coronado Bridge is an experience on its own, with sweeping views of San Diego Bay. On the other side, Coronado’s Hotel del Coronado and its beachfront streets are one of the most photogenic settings in the county.
Make the Most of It
Whichever spot you choose, the car matters as much as the location. A Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a Ferrari, or a Rolls-Royce parked against any of these backdrops photographs the same way it drives: unforgettable.
